“After working shift work for all of my career, I retired this summer with the goal of getting healthy.  For shift workers, it's not easy planning healthy meals and with sleeping during the day, intermittent fasting was out of the question for me in my mind.  At work I often found myself stressed and frequently grazing and slowly putting on weight

I had previously started a diet on my own for a couple of months but I seemed to be lacking in the motivation I needed to keep moving forward. Then I saw Elaine's Instagram page @attaininghealthwithelaine and began working with her. With her help, I've made some pretty dramatic (for me) lifestyle changes.  I have type 2 diabetes and therefore I have issues with high blood sugar. My blood sugar plummeting down to a normal level and the gut inflammation I was experiencing disappearing were the first two things I noticed in my health improvement quite quickly.   Elaine and I had regular video meetings and discussed where I felt I needed an extra push, here and there.   Based on the information I provided to her, she was able to cater her data and guidance to what I needed.  I have learnt so much about my body type, how to change my unhealthy habits into healthy ones and what would work best for me in terms of diet, exercise and getting enough rest.  

With Elaine's guidance and support, I've lost a total of 17 lbs and 12 inches overall.  As I started seeing changes and with the information and tools she has given me, I now have the knowledge and motivation to keep up this healthier lifestyle.  I feel strong and so much healthier than I have in years.

Full disclosure here, Elaine and I have been friends for most of our lives.  We've kept in touch throughout the years and when I heard about her becoming a health tutor, I decided to give it a go.  What did I have to lose besides bad habits and a few pounds, right?  I've always admired Elaine for not only being a kind, sweet and intelligent woman, but a role model right from the beginning.  Her being a health tutor seemed only natural from the lifestyle she's led.
